about 600.00-800.00 depending on how long you r going to stay, Many hotels start at $65-85 per night, Disney tickets r 69 per adult, 62 for children, Children under 2 r free, you would want to buy souvenirs that’s about 200, food can be reasonable . You may not spend that much but it is always good to have extra money. Have fun,I have been to disneyland about 20+ times
The more the better… and I am not joking !!!!
Disney trips can cost in the 1000’s for just a couple days. Be prepared.
About $1000, because that place is ridiculously expensive. Just because their success came from ripping off already-established stories they think they have the right to charge non-expensive things ludicrous prices.
Hey Midnight Star, is this trip for your kids or you and your hubby? Reason I ask is at the age of 2 and 4 they won’t remember it( think back to when you were 4 yrs old, what do you remember? I would wait till they were at least 6 and 8 yrs old for this kind of vacation so they will both remember and enjoy this kind of trip. Reason being is it will cost ya a couple or three grand even in the off season for a week and 1/2 down there. So , why waste your money on something they won’t remember?
Well, if you want to stay two night at the Disneyland hotel that would cost between $200 and $400. Then consider the cost of the park approx $60 per person and then about $50 per person per day for food in the park.
I must say, my week-end trip to Disney cost the same as my two week cruise in the Caribbean. Tht is how over priced the place is.
It is very over priced and expensive. Plan on $1,000 as a modest trip , nothing first class or fancy.
Thought I would give you a few hints from my several trips to Disneyland.
First, decide how close you want to stay to Disneyland, with children this young walking is probably not a good option. If you do not want to drive to the park and pay for parking, the ART (Anaheim Resort Transit) provides a fairly efficient way of getting to and from Disneyland but purchase a multi-day pass. Generally the closer to the park, the more you will spend. A mid-range hotel can run about 135 to 160 per night although in January there are some good deals. I enjoy something like a Hampton Inn as they include a fairly decent breakfast which can help save money.
Although booking your own room may save you money, using a travel agent may provide benefits, especially if they are familiar with the area. If you do book yourself, phone the hotel as online booking services, even those of the hotel itself, are not always accurate. I have saved a few dollars per night by booking direct or found rooms when even the hotel’s own website said that there were none available. If you want to make things easy you can look into a tour company that offers mutli-day Disney vacations, talk to that travel agent and no, I am not one.
Except for the character breakfast (expensive but fun)I try not to eat at Disneyland too much. The costs there are normally too high for what you get.
Once you have decided on the number of days, purchase a Park Hopper multi-day pass. In January often adults pay the kids price. If you are going for a week then look into one for the full time you are there. Last time I went it only cost me a couple of dollars more for the extra day…more time to enjoy with less rush.
As young children rarely eat a lot, and assuming you do not splurge on food, you could have a fairly nice 7 day trip (without transportation and souveniers but assuming flying so including transportation from airport to hotel), for somewhere between $ 2,600 and $3,000 dollars. This is for a superior class hotel, for a moderate hotel you could possibly save another $300 to $500.
